Some stories begin with a business idea.
Ours began with a father’s belief. In 2000, I began my business journey alongside my father at our family business, Yasin Kiryana, where we dealt in rice and spices. My father was a man who believed that if you wanted to earn a customer’s trust, you first had to earn their respect through the quality of what you offered. For him, “good enough” was never good enough. We had our own cleaning labour at our godown, where rice and spices were carefully cleaned and prepared before reaching our customers. It took extra time, extra effort and extra cost — but my father believed that our customers deserved nothing less than the best. That lesson stayed with me. Quality was not a business strategy. It was a responsibility.

Carrying a Father’s Dream Forward

After my father passed away, carrying his legacy was one of the biggest responsibilities of my life. Building a business is never easy. There are years of sacrifices that customers never see. Long days, sleepless nights, failures, uncertainty, difficult decisions and moments when walking away seems easier than continuing. But every challenge reminded me of what my father had taught me:

Build something people can trust. And so, the journey continued. With the same values, we expanded into catering and established Daig.com.pk. Our purpose was simple — to bring the same commitment to quality into every event we served. The best ingredients. Quality rice, spices and meat, Clean preparation, Consistency, Timely service. And above everything else, peace of mind for our customers.

We wanted to make catering easier too — giving people the convenience of arranging their event food through an online platform, where something that once took days of planning could begin with just a few clicks.

Then We Dreamed Bigger

Our journey didn’t stop there. We entered the world of desserts with Last Crumb Cookies, with one ambition: To create a cookie and ice-cream experience unlike anything else. Once again, we focused on the details. The ingredients, the recipes, the presentation, the experience. Because by then, we had learned something important: People may remember what you served, but they remember how you made them feel.

And Then Came Mahnoor.

Over the years, our customers started asking us for something more. They trusted us with their food. They trusted us with their celebrations. And eventually, they began saying:

“Why don’t you take care of the décor as well?”

We listened.And that is how Mahnoor Events by Daig.com.pk was born. Named after my daughter, Mahnoor Events is not simply another business. It is the next chapter of a family legacy. A legacy that began with my father’s vision in 2000 and has travelled through years of hard work, growth, challenges and countless memories. Today, that legacy enters the world of event décor.
